Pulu Fm
Type Locality and Naming
It was named by Mu & Chen (1984). The type section is at Pulu village, Saer District, Dingjie County, Xizang. Coordinate: 87°44'E, 28°14'N. The authors inclined to keep the names until further works proving the inconsistency of lithology, fossils, facies etc. among the formations described in synonyms below.
Synonym: (普鲁组); Pazhuo Fm, Chumure Fm, Jijiu Fm, Zhaxizhong Fm, Qiangla Gr, Denytangga Fm, and the upper Formation of Shiqipo Gr
Lithology and Thickness
The formation, 79.8 m at the type section, is consisted by argillaceous silty limestone, banded argillaceous limestone, lenticulated limestone. The rocks are low - grade metamorphosed to slates or even schists.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
The formation is in a conformable contact onto the underlying Shiqipo Fm of Early Silurian
Upper contact
The formation is in a conformable contact with the overlying Liangquan Fm of mid-Early Devonian or with the Jijiu Fm of late Silurian-earliest Devonian.
Regional extent
The formation mainly distributed in the Dingjie County, Pulan County, Nielamu County and Zhada County of Southern Xizang. The thickness is 22-700 m, various from place to place.

Fossils
It yields fossils include graptolites Monoclimacis vomerina subgracilis, Pristiograptus Dubius;Cephalopods Kopanioceras jucundum, K. capax, Michelinoceras mechelini, M. transiens; Conodonts Dapsilodus obiculcostatus, Panderodus gracilis, Ozarkodina excavata excavata; Corals Covilasma sp., Amplexoides sp., Heliolites sp., Cladopora sp., etc.
